This robust library of classes is  made for those of us who have been around the block a few times-- those of us mature enough to know that our bodies need more care as we age, and strong enough to recognize that challenging ourselves in a wise way is not only healthy, but life-giving. If you are one of those passionate people who wants to get the maximum benefit from being supple and strong, with the least chance of injury, this is the yoga library for you. 

I’m living this as a woman in my early 50’s. I’m in an aging body as well, and the athlete in me still loves to challenge myself. I created Yoga On Demand for those of us that like a challenge— but a challenge that is balanced with intelligence and science. A challenge that won’t harm, but instead will lift, strengthen, and empower us to be the best version of ourselves today. Loving ourselves now with a healthy dose of self-acceptance and humor along the way.

 Dawn's sessions are like going to the spa, exercising, and having a great talk with a friend all at once. She is genius at teaching in a way that appeals to my heart and my body. Yoga On-Demand With Dawn recognizes that every day is different. On some days, a gentler practice is what we need, and on other days, a more demanding practice will get us out of our heads. That’s why the classes offered here are a full spectrum of restorative, gentle, challenging, rigorous. You’ll find classes designed for specific concerns (loosen up hips, classes for runners/bikers, classes for neck/shoulder release) across many durations (15 min, 30, 45, 60+ min classes).

How to make this practice habit-forming so you get the most out of Yoga on Demand With Dawn? 

From the amazing people that are already members of this library, we have developed suggestions for how to get the most out of your Yoga On Demand With Dawn:

  1. Commit to practicing a certain number of times per week. For instance, at the beginning of the week, decide you are going to practice 2-3 times per week. 
  2. Schedule your time to practice as if you were going to a live class. As in, literally put this in your calendar as a non-negotiable appointment (Tuesdays at 9 am, for example). 
  3. Reach out to those in this community and schedule a session together. You may meet new like-minded people this way and even make a new friend or two. Consider signing up with a friend so that you can both can practice via FaceTime or a zoom link together. 
  4. Reach out to Dawn directly and let her know when you’re practicing. Feel free to send following up questions to Dawn.

Dawn Obeidallah Davis, Ph.D., 500 E-RYT is a celebrated yoga teacher known for her soulful style of teaching. She seamlessly incorporates physical alignment cues with the spiritual aspects of yoga into her classes. Dawn’s classes will have you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and balanced.  

Dawn was on the fast track as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School. After finding yoga 16 years ago, Dawn stepped off the expected path of “should” and onto a path that gave her deep purpose and fulfillment. The teaching inspires her students to celebrate the joy of letting go and embracing the power of the present moment.
